Rent a Prius at Enterprise
Enterprise Prius Rental Cars
Since the mid-2000s, Enterprise has led the way in adding hybrid and electronic vehicles to its fleet of cars. Leading the way with the Toyota Prius, Enterprise now has the largest fleet of hybrid rental cars in the United States – including both the second and third generation Prius. In addition to the Prius, the company’s hybrid rental cars now include the Ford Escape Hybrid and Toyota Camry Hybrid.
In the summer of 2011, as part of its effort to add electronic vehicles to its fleet, Enterprise began to offer the Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid to members of its car-sharing program – WeCar. Prius Plug-in Hybrids can travel 13 miles for 62mph on a single charge, and then it operates like a typical Prius Hybrid. The limited roll-out of Prius Plug-ins will allow Enterprise, in cooperation with Toyota, to test the car before larger distribution and educate consumers about plug-in hybrid technology.
In addition to the Toyota Prius Plug-in, Enterprise has added the Chevrolet Volt and Nissan LEAF to its fleets in California, Hawaii, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas and Washington. The Enterprise fleet of electronic vehicles is currently the largest in the United States, with cars available both through WeCar and traditional rental car centers.
Enterprise Hybrid Rental Car Locations
Enterprise does not limit its hybrid rental car centers to airports; the company also has locations off-site and in cities where there are no airports. Locations near colleges, especially, make Enterprise rental hybrids a convenient option for visiting parents and qualified students. Consumers can also rent Enterprise hybrids even when they aren’t traveling. Renting a Toyota Prius hybrid from Enterprise for a few days to a few weeks is a great way to test out the car before making a purchase.
